TruCare Transport provides non-emergency medical transportation throughout Odessa and the greater Tampa Bay area, offering safe, reliable, and compassionate service for individuals with mobility challenges. The company’s mission is to ensure that seniors and those in need can access medical appointments, rehabilitation centers, grocery stores, and other vital destinations with dignity and ease.
Founded by husband-and-wife team Arlis and Oneida Fuentes, TruCare was born from their shared desire to better serve the growing senior population. Originally from Canada, Oneida brings over a decade of nursing experience, where she witnessed firsthand the increasing demand for dependable support services for older adults and those with limited mobility.
In Pasco County and the surrounding Tampa Bay region, where seniors are projected to make up 24 - 25% of the population by 2030, Arlis and Oneida recognized an urgent need for timely, professional, and people-centered transportation solutions. Local hospitals, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centers rely on consistent transport options to fulfill their daily missions, and TruCare has become an essential partner in that effort.
Since its launch in 2023, TruCare has completed thousands of successful transports and continues to earn the trust of local families, facilities, and healthcare staff. Unlike standard curb-to-curb services, TruCare offers door-through-door assistance, with trained professionals who personally escort clients from their residence or facility into clean, comfortable, ADA-compliant vehicles. Upon arrival, clients are accompanied all the way to check-in to ensure a seamless, supportive, and stress-free transportation experience.

We are continuously striving to implement effective strategies for enhanced training, integrated technologies, and managerial support and communication. Because we provide local and long-distance transportation, effective planning and communication between dispatch and key facilities is paramount.
We continuously work on enhancing our scheduling and traffic management in an effort to reduce travel and wait times while increasing efficiency. We work to adapt and implement policies and procedures to support our mission, to analyze and advise on transportation issues, evaluate scheduling conflicts, negotiate and correspond with carriers, vendors, and strategic partners.
Dispatchers will receive extensive instruction on using our technological integration systems designed to support our growing scheduling and logistical demands. Dispatchers are responsible for the following:
- Customer intake
- Preparation of daily schedules and trip manifests
- Effective driver management and scheduling
- Trip management and oversight
- Coordination with facility personnel
